SWIMMER

In the run up to the 2012 Olympics Offstage Theatre has been interviewing London swimmers from all of the Capital's boroughs in association with London Pool’s Campaign. These interviews are to be used in the adaptation of Bill Broady’s 'Swimmer' at the NT Studio – a story about a competitive swimmer’s passion for water.

This dreamlike play will be performed in January 2011 at the Bridewell Theatre, which used to be a Victorian bath house, and promises to revolutionise storytelling by continually questioning the relationship between sport and art, actor and audience, and site-specific practice and traditional theatre going.

A short film, full length documentary and several exhibitions of children's art work will also be born from this fascinating project.
